Rescue Remedy

As soon as Lloyd saw me
He said,
"What did you do with your frown?"

I threw it away.
No use any more.
Banished it.

My lover did it -
Convinced me I am beautiful.
I'd never thought so.

It soon became plain sailing,
I learnt to love my self.
Now, how can I frown?

As I write these words
I see a piece of string on the floor,
and love it. A beautiful shape.

Here I am not sleeping,
Loving a piece of string!
No wonder I smile.

What did I do with my frown?
Head over heels it is.
Turned upside down.
